Footwear is Highly Recommended

As we are located in a tidal water area, we see a daily fluctuation of water levels (high tide & low tide). During low tide, the sea-bed floor is host to thousands of oysters and clams that can be found all though out the 5 km river. Although these guys act as a natural filter for our waterways, their exterior shells are extremely sharp and potentially dangerous. It is for this reason, that closed-toe footwear is highly recommended for all participants using a kayak or SUP.

Neoprene booties work the best for paddling activities. We recommend that you wear a shoe that covers the entire foot like water shoes or old running shoes. Flip flop style footwear is not recommended, as they fall off easily when the foot hits the muddy bottom of the river. We sell neoprene booties at the Shop if you require some. Call us to find out if we have your size and for price. 506-532-8914.
